Iris; Marketing Internship in Sydney

Iris is from The Netherlands, and like many others before her, never realised Sydney gets so cold during the Winter months. She is currently completing a Marketing internship in Sydney at a large international retail store;

My home city: Tilburg Is famous for: the annual carnival, it is the biggest in Europe.
When I was young I wanted to be: so many things, from dolphin trainer to actress and from architect to doctor.
I chose Australia because:  I love the country, its people and its nature.
My impression of Australia before I arrived: was it is always warm here.
One thing that I have learnt about Australia that I didn’t know before is: it isn’t always warm here… (Freezing cold actually, long live the central heaters back home!)
One thing I want to do before I leave Australia: is visit the Great Barrier Reef, and I want to go to Alice Springs.
If I could live anywhere in the world it would be: Sydney
My next trip will be to: New Zealand, Auckland
Best advice I have been given is: life’s a gift so don’t waste it. You don’t know what hand you’re gonna get dealt next. You learn to take life as it comes at you… to make each day count.
My worst job was: doing the dishes at a restaurant
Australia described in one word: Wonderful
