Marlen; Teaching Internship in Sydney

Marlen is from Stuttgart and currently completing a Teaching internship in Sydney. Thankfully there aren’t as many ‘toxic’ animals in Australia as she thought:

My home city is: Stuttgart is famous for: automobiles
When I was young I wanted to: be a veterinarian
I chose Australia because: it’s a multi-sided country, there’s a lot to see and it has beautiful nature. Also the people are really friendly.
My impression of Australia before I arrived: was there would be a lot more toxic animals, but still an amazing country.
One thing I have learnt about Australia that I didn’t know before: is that there are not as much toxic animals as I expected, that the people are really friendly and that the weather is not that hot as I thought it would be.
Before I leave Australia, I want to: try and surf
Best advice I have been given is: “Just let it flow, everything will work out in the end.”
My worst job was: shift-work in a factory
My next trip will be to: Alice Springs
