Describe the path from your internship in Australia to your current position
My internship was a nice way of getting into the country, I learned a lot there but also learned it’s not what I want to be doing and I needed to find something else.
How did the internship in Australia contribute towards reaching your current status?
After the internship, I decided to quit my studies back in the Netherlands and found a job as an office manager for a real estate office in Balmain.
What were the most important OFFICE SKILLS you learnt during your internship?
During the internship, I did not learn that much as it was very basic, mostly just attention to detail.
What were the most important INDUSTRY SPECIFIC SKILLS you learnt during your internship?
Probably EDMs and Social Media Management, some Web Design

Are you still in contact with the friends you made while you were in Australia?
Yes
Best memory from your time in Australia?
That I never left!!
What do you miss most about your time in Australia?
I would miss Aussie people the most
Advice for anyone thinking about completing an internship in Australia?
Definitely do it, and afterward don’t feel the need you have to go back to your own country. You’ll have another half year on your visa, enjoy it and maybe stay.
