What is a virtual internship?
Virtual internships (also known as remote internships or online internships) are steadily growing in popularity globally. A virtual internship is a placement where an intern gains professional experience and training while not physically present at the company location. All communication between the intern and company is carried out via online platforms such as phone, email, Skype, WhatsApp, Zoom, webinars, Google Hangouts and various other communication & project management programs.
What industries are available?
Virtual internships may not suit all industries (e.g. hospitality), but with modern working techniques, improved technology, and the correct training structure, they can be beneficially executed in a wide range of fields. Check them out here, and contact us if you can’t find something that appeals to you
Will I be employed by the company at the end of the virtual internship?
The virtual internships we arrange do not include a job offer with the host company as they are a temporary training experience. However, seperate from our service, some interns have been offered employment on completion of their virtual internship
Are there any age requirements?
There are no age restrictions for a virtual internship.
Are the virtual internships paid?
While many of the companies offer a small stipend, all our virtual internships are voluntary/unpaid as they focus on remote supervision & training to benefit you, NOT on mindless data-entry.

Short answer is ‘No’. All applicants should fit into one of the below categories:
- 1. School Leavers; Those who have recently completed schooling and would like to gain an insight and basic training in a specific field before committing to a career path.
- 2. Enrolled Students; Students who are required to complete an internship as part of their University curriculum. University requirements differ between each educational institution.
- 3. Graduates; Recently completed a tertiary qualification in their requested field.
- 4. Voluntary; Those that choose to complete an internship which is not an essential requirement to graduate.
All placements provide the intern with essential training and guidance to ensure a valuable link to their future career goals

One of the benefits of a virtual internship is that there are no visas required.
When does the internship start and how long does it go for?
The intern selects the start date. We do not have set start dates. Interns can start an internship on almost any Monday throughout the year.
