Ben; Sports Internship in Australia

Ben is from the UK and has travelled to Sydney to complete an internship in the Sport Industry. Ben is enjoying his time Down Under so much that he has signed on for a second internship in the new year;

My home city is: Winchester, UK is famous for King Alfred’s table and the old capital of England
My internship industry/I’m studying: Sports industry and studying sports management and coaching
I chose to do an internship: To gain greater experience and to enrich my knowledge of my current studies.
My top 3 goals from the internship: 1. To heighten my knowledge of sports coaching and the different tactics and theories. 2. To increase my communication skills with clients and members. 3. Finally to increase my marketing skills within the sports industry.
The most important thing I’ve learnt from my internship: How different athletes respond to certain coaching theories and approaches where one athlete responds to a certain way but that isn’t the same for all.
I chose Australia because: the sports industry is growing in Australia and slowly becoming bigger and I wanted to be a part of the process while gaining higher knowledge in a different environment.
One thing I have learnt about Australia: Uluru is the oldest rock in the world.
My Australian highlight so far: Going to the blue mountains.
Australia described in one word: Diverse
