Katrine; Events Internship in Sydney

Katrine is from Denmark and completing an internship in Events Management at a non-profit organisation. After a short visit to Australia many years ago, she fell in love with the country and made sure to come back and spend more time here;

My home city: Vejle Is famous for: the umbrella street
When I was young I wanted to be: a pilot in the army
I chose Australia because: I had been here when I was younger (around 14) for a short visit after being in NZ for 12 months. We went for 5 days in Australia and since then always told myself I needed to come and see more of this beautiful land.
My impression of Australia before I arrived: is it is a country where people are happy, they were very into sport and health, and they took good care of nature.
One thing that I have learnt about Australia that I didn’t know before is: I knew before I came down here it would be expensive, I just didn’t know it would be that expensive
One thing I want to do before I leave Australia: swimming with a great white shark in Port Douglas
If I could live anywhere in the world it would be: New Zealand, I don’t know which town, I just know I love that country
My next trip will be to: Wellington
Best advice I have been given is: Don’t let the world change your smile…Let your smile change the world.
