Lea; Marketing & Sales Internship

Lea is from Germany and she is completing her internship in the industry of Marketing & Sales in Sydney and she is loving it! Lunch breaks in front of the Opera House are her favourite. She has become a big fan of Australia and during her time here she is travelling the whole country. Absolutely fantastic Lea! Have a great time!

My home city: Aachen is famous for: its University and the delicious Christmas sweets ”Aachener Printen”
I chose Australia: because as a child I thought Australia is so far away and I would never get to see the Opera House. After school I got the chance, took it and I spend nearly every lunch break sitting in front of it since I am here.
One thing I have learnt about Australia that I didn’t know before is: that you can’t get homesick if you are here and that TimTams are so delicious!
The thing I miss about home is: nearly nothing so far.
One thing I want to do before I leave Australia is: see as many places as possible during my following journey and I definitely want to visit Ayers Rock.
If I could live anywhere in the world I’d choose:  Australia!
My advice to future interns would be: not to plan ahead too much. It is much more exciting if you are independent and you may find new travel mates to plan your next trip with!
The best moment I have have had during my stay in Australia was: everything. I have had so many beautiful moments that I just can say I haven’t had a bad one!
If this were my last day on earth, I: would probably go to the beach and call my family and friends and just enjoy the day.
My plans for the next trip are: to go to Melbourne.
Australia described in one word: Daydream.
