Lauren; Journalism Internship in Australia
Lauren (Loz) is here in Australia from The USA completing an internship in Journalism. Her next trip will be to the white sands of Jervis Bay;
My home city is: Chicago is famous for: it’s great food, sports teams, and amazing skyline.
When I was young I wanted to: be an Astronaut
I chose Australia because: It was a place I had never been to before but always wanted to explore.
My impression of Australia before I arrived: Very busy! Much like Chicago but filled with culture, diversity and incredibly nice people.
One thing I have learnt about Australia that I didn’t know before: I’ve learned several new words that mean different things than they do in the States. Also, people call me ‘Loz’, a nickname for Lauren.
Before I leave Australia, I want to: Go scuba diving or sky diving.
If I could live anywhere in the world, it would be: where I have both the beach and the mountains.
Best Advice I have been given is: If you do what you love, you’ll never have to work a day in your life.
My worst job was: Working at a school uniform store.
My next trip will be to: Jervis Bay
