Tonje; Event Management Internship in Brisbane
Tonje is from Norway and completing an Events Management internship in Brisbane, Queensland. She recently wrote to us saying she hopes she; “can inspire someone new to join this amazing experience!”:
My home city is: Stavanger is famous for: being the oil capital of Norway
When I was young I wanted to: be an archaeologist
I chose Australia because: I’ve always wanted to see Australia, it has always seemed like such an exotic country. And I thought exploring Australia would be an adventure of a lifetime!
My impression of Australia before I arrived: was hot and packed with kangaroos!
One thing I have learnt about Australia that I didn’t know before: is how kind and outgoing people are. After only three days, the people I catch the bus with every morning asked me how my weekend was. We’ve been having little morning catch-ups ever since!
Before I leave Australia, I want to: Rent a car, head off for a few days, and see where it takes me.
If I could live anywhere I’d choose: …I’ll always return home in the end.
Best advice I have been given is: Dream big!
My next trip will be to: Who knows? Only time will tell
Australia described in one word: adventure!
