What items should I pack?

We recommend bringing a dual SIM mobile phone and a small laptop or tablet to easily look up travel options, employer details, etc. For work, you’ll need two or three long-sleeved shirts with collars, long trousers (jeans work well), swimwear, something smart for evenings, and casual clothes for the beach and relaxing. Don’t forget SPF 50+ sunscreen and any personal medications. We’ll provide washable, foldable work hats for international participants and a lunch bag Esky. You’ll need work boots—Blundstones are great, but Baxter’s are better for horse riders. If you have short riding boots, bring them from home; long boots are too hot for Australia. Please ensure your boots have no laces for safety, and steel toe caps are not necessary for farm work. You can purchase torches, gloves, shirts, and work trousers at various stores in Brisbane.
