Hospitality is the relationship between a guest and a host, wherein the host receives the guest with goodwill, including the reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or strangers.

Anything that includes the taking care of guests is part of the “hospitality” industry. It may be the providing of meals, accommodation, cruises on ships, transport or many other duties involved in helping tourists, whether for business or pleasure.
