Media is the communication outlets or tools used to store and deliver information or data. The term refers to components of the mass media communications industry, such as print media, publishing, the news media, photography, cinema, broadcasting (radio and television), and advertising. There are three main types of news media: print media, broadcast media, and the Internet.
Basically, any carrier of information is classified as “media”. It includes electronic, print, post, signs etc. Working or studying “media” may involve finding the most efficient method of conveying information to your target market, or just helping in one of the many avenues of media. You may be selling advertising, liaising with designers or the client, costing, planning & organising an advertising campaign, or studying the best way to reach a particular group.
